What the heck is Ahimsa?
The word Ahimsa is Sanskrit in origin and it is one of the basic principles of yoga. Ahimsa is translated to mean, compassion, to do no harm, and not to cause injury.
Self ahimsa means to be gentle with yourself. To love where you are exactly as you are.
We often learn how to do no harm to others while inflicting much onto ourselves with our self-critical thoughts and inner narratives.
If you’ve ever caught yourself speaking or thinking about yourself in ways that you would never speak or think about someone you love, than you are going to enjoy this workshop!
It’s for all levels and anyone looking to increase their capacity to practice Ahimsa towards themselves and others will thoroughly enjoy this experience.
Wear your yoga clothes, bring a mat, a journal, and your beautiful self. We will start with a bit of discussion while you secure yourself in your aerial silk like a cocoon of support.
While you are guided through restorative aerial poses you’ll be bathed in beautiful sound healing vibrations from singing bowls, didgeridoo, drum, and native flute for a beautiful and immersive healing experience.
By the time you come out you’ll be ready to spread your wings and fly!
