Strengthening Our Connection to Advisory<h4>Something Old, New, Borrowed, YOU!</h4>


Experience IFSEL’s Advisory Principles as they come to life over the course of this 1-Day Workshop designed to inspire and nourish advisors, coordinators, leaders, counselors, and every SEL practitioner. Dig deep into your roots and tap into the power of your SEL journey; find a fresh take on the tried-and-true check-in ritual; explore the roles of advisors and advisees through a novel, repeatable structure; and engage your empathy for your students through a teacher-learner experience.


Whether you’re new to the role or a long time practitioner, you’ll walk away with simple, practical lessons and structures you can implement the next day, creative approaches for authentic advisory alignment, and renewal of your own unique connection to SEL!

Workshop Goals:

  • Design ideas for Advisory (goals, role of the Advisor, timing and grouping)
  • A series of experiences that engage meaningful conversations, rituals, personal reflection, and positive group interactions among students
  • Activities that will deepen and promote inter- and intra-personal development, and explores the importance of a structured, but emerging curriculum for Advisory

Cancellation Policy

Registration fees will be refunded at 50% of the registration ticket price paid, less the $50 refund processing cost, if requested in writing more than two-weeks prior to the start of the course. From two weeks prior to the start of the course until the day before the course begins, refunds requested in writing will be granted a credit for the full value of their registration ticket price.
