Adventure on Tap: Cross-Country Skiing on the Front Range

'Gather Around the Campfire' and join UpaDowna with Dr. Eric Burton, a winter sports enthusiast, to talk about cross-country "XC" skiing on Colorado's front range. Learn more about the Woodmoor Nordic Center located in Woodmoor Country Club in Monument, CO. Woodmoor Nordic Center is home to over 10 miles of groomed XC skiing trails during the winter months as snow conditions permit. XC skiing is one of the best full-body workouts available. The community for XC skiing continues to grow in the Colorado Springs area.

Meet Dr. Eric Burton who is from Palmer Lake, CO, and loves to ski! He competed on the Acton Boxboro Regional High School XC ski team in Massachusetts during his junior year of high school. During that race, he finished 53rd out of 200 participants in the Massachusetts State High School Championship meet in 1988. He has been an avid backcountry/telemark skier for almost 40 years and rediscovered his love for XC skiing at the Woodmoore Nordic Center.
