Sunset Paddle Sawfish Island

Day and Time: Thurs, August 1st, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Parking: Following parking, meet at the Kayak Launch located at the North end of Sawfish Bay Park.

Come and join ERM scientists on a special summer paddle around the restored spoil islands of Sawfish & Karen J Golonka Island (formerly Fullerton Island) located in the Loxahatchee River, Lake Worth Creek Aquatic Preserve in Jupiter. You will have an opportunity to have a peaceful guided kayak tour learning about habitat restoration and the island’s history all while observing a plethora of local wading birds and other unique flora and fauna.

Be prepared for an outdoor, evening activity on the water. You may get wet, bring bug spray, dress for the weather and bring a water bottle, we will have water refills.
