The St. John Paul II Schola Cantorum directed by Steve Quebral will present an Advent Service of Lessons & Carols on Sunday, December 15th at 2:00 pm at Ss. Peter and Paul Church,5480 Main Street in Williamsville, NY. Lessons and Carols is a service of scripture readings and sung responses that tell the story of salvation from the fall of man in the Garden of Eden to the coming of the Messiah in Bethlehem.
The St. John Paul II Schola Cantorum is an “a cappella” choir dedicated to preserving, promoting and performing sacred choral works from the great treasury of music of the Catholic Church. Their repertoire ranges from Gregorian Chant to masterpieces of sacred polyphony from the Middle Ages to modern times. Works by Palestrina, Rheinberger, Victoria and others will be performed. A free will offering will be accepted to support the ministries of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish.
