Father Joseph Murphy, a native of Modesto, California, came to faith through the invitation to Mass, by a family. This became a transformative encounter with the Holy Eucharist, leading to his baptism in 2011 at St. Joseph's. After studying behavioral sciences, philosophy, catechetics, and theology, he was ordained a deacon in 2021 and a priest in 2022. He currently serves in the Office of Worship for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington and is a member of the Washington Oratory of St. Philip Neri.
