Advancing Women’s Leadership: Evidence and Insights
Women in leadership and senior management improve business and corporate cultures, governance, and, ultimately, the bottom line. This report documents the national and statewide data showing women’s progress in holding leadership positions and the continuing disparities in representation at leadership levels and significant pay gaps for those who do reach senior management positions. The benefits for business are clear, but the pathways for women to secure leadership positions can be difficult. Interviews with senior executive women in Connecticut provide insights and strategies for women as they navigate complex organizational environments with the goal of building a robust pipeline of women moving into management and leadership positions.
Advancing Women’s Leadership was produced in partnership with the Aurora Women and Girls Foundation, University of Saint Joseph and Demographic Perspectives, LLC.
