This fair housing training is specifically designed for recovery residence providers, offering both an understanding of the law as well as best practices for operating recovery residences which are a type of housing for individuals with disabilities. The following will be included in the training:
- a legal overview of the fair housing protections for individuals with disabilities
- how fair housing laws apply to land use and zoning regulations impacting housing for individuals with disabilities
- fair housing reasonable accommodation law and procedures
- best practices for operating recovery housing
