Advancing Community-Owned Agriculture in California
About this Event
Overview
Join us for a special convening on how community land trusts (CLTs) are supporting permanent and equitable land tenure for BIPOC farmers and farmer collectives in California.
Community ownership and community land trusts (CLTs) are a powerful, sustainable, and flexible tool for movement building in rural agricultural communities in the San Joaquin Valley and beyond. The purpose of this gathering is to bring together key stakeholders (ie CLT practioners, land stewards, farming-collectives, philanthropy, technical assistance providers etc). to highlight the real-life solutions that are already in the works and the resources needed to preserve agricultural lands and support more BIPOC farmers with land tenure.
See Agenda below [speaker info coming soon]
A limited number of for travel & other expenses are available to CACLTN members and San Joaquin Valley (SJV) non-profit organizations working on community ownership and/or Community Land Trusts, who otherwise would not be able to attend the event.
