Learn how to tube feed and provide safe oral hydration for parrots, waterbirds, reptiles and other species seen in wildlife rehabilitation! This course extends the skills learned and practiced at the Basic Tube Feeding stage.
Topics
• Prepare, clean and maintain equipment
• Manage different species
• Prepare and administer oral fluids, feeds and supplementary nutrition
• Wean juvenile and adult parrots
• Administer antifungal treatments under guidance
• Identify and manage crop disease
• Mentor volunteers completing the Basic Tube Feeding Course
This course is designed for Kanyana volunteers who have completed their Basic Tube Feeding Competencies, who have a mentor and whose attendance has been approved by their supervisors. Wildlife volunteers at other centre and vet professionals are also welcome to attend (it is recommended that they complete the Basic Tube Feeding Course first).

Fees
• $50 for non-Kanyana wildlife rehabilitators and vet professionals
• $15 for Kanyana volunteers
