Who is this for?
This 2-day Yoga Alliance accredited training is ideal for yoga teachers and teachers in training who want to deepen their sequencing skills and improve their ability to structure creative and safe classes. Although the training includes vinyasa flow sequences, the principles taught are applicable to any style of yoga. It is also open to non-teachers who wish to deepen their personal practice and understanding of intelligent sequencing.
Course Content
Practice: Participate in a vinyasa flow practice each day, analysing the sequencing and purpose behind each movement.
Intelligent Sequencing: Deepen your understanding of how to structure a class that prepares the body safely, builds toward peak poses, and maintains smooth transitions.
The Krama System: Learn to sequence thoughtfully using the Krama system, a methodical approach to ordering poses that leads to a peak posture with counter poses to maintain balance.
Surya Namaskars: Focus on traditional sun salutations, exploring variations and modifications to make them accessible and effective for different levels.
Verbal Cueing & Demonstrations: Strengthen your teaching techniques with effective verbal cues, and demonstrations, that help guide your students safely.
Adaptation for All Levels: Learn to adapt sequences to suit students of all abilities, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
Practice Teaching: Apply what you’ve learned through practice teaching, receiving feedback in a supportive environment to refine your sequencing skills.
