Advanced Sequencing for Teaching Vinyasa and Power Yoga
January 28-29, 2023
with Liz Hilton ERYT200
assisted by Naomi Jones ERYT500

“As yoga teachers we are cheerleaders for our art; choreographers; DJs; body, mind, and spirit caretakers; coaches; ‘experts’ in our field; equipment waiters; timekeepers; and magicians. All this while finding the words to move and shape people. It's a complicated job.”
- Gabrielle Harris
As Yoga Teachers we guide with our words and movements. We are the caretakers of our students and can help heal, elevate and illuminate. We see, hear, and respect their intelligence and potential. Teachers do all this while setting our worries, our stories, our egos at the door, and bring only the love of the practice and a willingness to serve.
This weekend workshop can help empower you as a teacher by offering the building blocks for designing safe, creative, and unique sequences that resonate with the needs of the students. Teaching yoga is both an art and a science. Fundamental yoga asanas and sun salutations combined with inquiry based creative sequencing can help you design unique and engaging classes. This workshop will prompt you to take a fresh look at the shapes we make with our bodies.

We will cover:
the principles of sequencing a Power yoga class
energetic differences in teaching Vinyasa and Power yoga styles
