Advanced Saami-inspired Bracelet Technique Class with Liz Bucheit

Are you ready to tackle a more challenging Sámi-inspired bracelet project? Make a

bracelet worthy of a Nordic god! Expand your technical expertise by creating a

beautiful multi-braid bracelet using tin thread and reindeer leather used in our

previous classes. Students will create a double coiled four-weave braid with twisted

borders on your color choice of reindeer hide. Previous class experience is

recommended but not limited to the adventurous of heart. Students are also advised

to bring extra magnification or cheater glasses if needed for close work. Feel free to

bring your favorite thimble or scissors too.

Materials fee: $125, paid directly to the teacher.

All tools will be provided but are not included in the materials fee price

Scissors

Transparent thread and waxed linen thread

Measuring tape or ruler

Thimble (if needed for sewing)

Rubber cement or Aleene’s Tacky Glue (white or clear)

Toothpicks (for glue application)
