Advanced II — Academic & Professional Communication 


This course will take place in the Richard Hoggart Building, Room TBC

Course Description 

Advanced II develops your ability to communicate in academic and professional contexts. You will work with longer texts, express structured viewpoints, and improve high-level comprehension. 

This Course is Ideal For: 

  • Learners preparing for HSK 5 
  • Students who need Chinese for work or higher education 
  • Anyone wanting to articulate complex ideas fluently 

What You Will Learn: 

  • Advanced vocabulary for education, workplace, society, and travel 
  • Organising ideas into structured paragraphs 
  • Advanced reading skills for articles and opinion pieces 
  • Listening comprehension for extended and formal speech
