Info: Vein selection, difficult-draw strategies, equipment selection, syringe collection techniques, specimen quality, and guided simulation practice.

IV Concepts & Simulation Practice
Info: IV equipment familiarization, site-selection concepts, safety considerations, and supervised practice using simulation trainers.

Infant, Pediatric & Arterial Collection Concepts
Info: Infant and pediatric collection concepts, simulated heel-stick and scalp-vein concepts, and arterial blood gas collection using training models.

Urinalysis, Specimen Handling & Preanalytical Errors

The urinalysis portion will remain educational and simulation-based. We will not collect or test urine from participants.

Info: Guided microscope review of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, selected morphological findings, and clinical case examples.

Skills Check-Off, Knowledge Review Career Information & Certificates
Info: Completion of remaining simulation-based skills observations, instructor feedback, and a focused discussion of clinical laboratory careers, educational pathways, ASCP certification options, and potential employment settings. The workshop concludes with evaluations, Certificates of Completion, and closing remarks.
