Adults With Hobbies | Week 3: Bad At Art, Drawing & Watercolor

Welcome to Adults With Hobbies!

Finding yourself too invested in capitalist survival and not invested enough in yourself and your community? Learn a new hobby at The Foundry!

Each class will use a radical justice lens to present a brief overview of the field at hand, followed by a hands-on activity where YOU are the MAKER. You will bring home something tangible from each class.

Throughout these weekly summer courses, you’ll learn about community organizations doing relevant work locally, and opportunities to get more involved in the hobbies you like. We’ll also read a book together over the coldest Winter months, culminating in the final class and get-together, book club.

WEEK THREE: Never drawn or painted anything before? Practice sketching in pencil, painting in watercolor, and map out different community art nights and discount supply shops. Take your favorite brush and an extra sheet of watercolor paper with you to get yourself started at home. We'll be in The Point meeting room.
