Overview
The ASP Training for Trainers Follow-Up Session is designed to support participants in embedding and applying learning from the initial Training for Trainers programme within their own organisation. The session is an opportunity for reflection, peer learning, and facilitated discussion, enabling participants to review how they have implemented ASP training within their own organisation and to further develop their confidence and capability as trainers.
The session will revisit key Adult Support and Protection principles, including the three-point criteria, thresholds, and core legislation, while strengthening participants’ ability to take this knowledge and translate it into learning for others. A key focus of the follow-up session is on sharing practice experiences, exploring challenges in delivery, and identifying solutions with other partners and organisations who are also delivering ASP Training.
Participants are supported to enhance their skills in engaging adult learners, using practical examples such as case studies, and adapting ASP training to meet the needs of different workforce groups. Facilitators provide additional guidance, tools, and resources to support effective and consistent delivery of ASP training across services.
