About this Event

This event is a 3 hour interactive workshop which explores adult safeguarding in the context of working within Older Person's Mental Health Services (Community Healthcare East)

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

  • Recognise the indicators of different types of abuse and neglect
  • How to report a concern in line with 2014 HSE Policy on 'Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults from Abuse and Neglect'.
  • Further develop their skills and competencies in recognising and responding to adult safeguarding concerns
  • Continue promoting an open culture to addressing safeguarding concerns within their teams

It is a pre-requisite that participants must complete the obligatory safeguarding training which is the ELearning module ‘Safeguarding Adults at Risk of Abuse’ available on www.HSELand.ie and must be completed by all staff at least every 3 years.
