Have you heard of Color Walks? The idea is, we get together as a group, and everyone picks one color, and we walk around the city taking pictures of things in our color. It makes for a fun, engaging experience, and the collages you can make are beautiful. This is another way to get playful, meet new people, and get our bodies moving.
This event is Free to Attend, though you may have to pay for parking or find free parking in the area.
As we grow older, we tend to lose sight of how important play and connection is in our daily lives. Play gets replaced with work. Connection gets replaced with commitment. In this free workshop, we hope to rekindle the spark you had for play as a child. Help us to meet new people and form new connections as we get in touch with our inner child.
Ages 18+ are welcome for this workshop, and we hope to make more of these happen for more age groups in the future. For now, we would like to focus on relearning how to bring play into our lives as adults!
Come and take your masks off, practice joy, and find community and purpose through exploration and play!
This class is open to all adults, 18+, all body types, race, sex, gender identity, belief system. It is a 100% consent based workshop, and you don't have to participate in any activity outside of your ability or comfort zone.
It is also an open container workshop, meaning you can come and go as you please, no need for you to be "on time" or stay the whole time. We will be posting a walk map soon, so even if you show up later, you can find us on the route!
We will be parking and meeting in the North parking lots of Ah-Nab-Awen Park, right next to Michigan/Bridge St. We meet at 1pm, and walk for a couple of hours, with a tentative end time of 3pm, though it may go longer or shorter depending on the pace of the group.
Prepare for the weather of the day! Bring an umbrella, warm layers, cool layers, sunscreen, whatever you may need for the weather!
Also, don't wait for this group activity to do this! Get your own group of friends together, and go explore! Then, come to our event as a Color Walk Professional.
