Discover the joy of wheel throwing in our dynamic pottery classes tailored for two distinct age groups. Classes are restricted to a maximum of two participants simultaneously, as our studio features two pottery wheels. This ensures optimal access to equipment during each session.
Unleash your inner artist and unwind in our adult pottery classes tailored for individuals aged 15 and above. Whether you're a seasoned potter or a novice, our classes offer a welcoming environment for all skill levels. From mastering wheel-throwing techniques to crafting functional pieces, participants will immerse themselves in the meditative process of pottery while honing their craft.
Please ensure you can sit upright for 30 minutes or longer while leaning forward and possess the manual dexterity required to manipulate clay. Participants will start their pottery journey by viewing a live instructor demonstration, where they will be guided through the process of wheel throwing to create a bowl, planter, or small cup. Each participant will then have 30-40 minutes of hands-on time on the pottery wheel to bring their creative visions to life. Each participant will receive two 1.5lb balls of clay to work with and will be provided with the necessary tools. The instructor will be available for hands-on assistance as needed throughout the class.
All participants should wear clothing that could get muddy and have short sleeves or the ability to roll sleeves up for practicality. Please ensure nails are cute short to facilitate clay manipulation. For safety reasons, rings and bracelets should be removed during the class.
