In this two-day training you will develop strategies for effectively teaching and engaging adults, including incorporating active learning, individual instruction, and real-world application. This class emphasizes understanding adult learning principles, communication skills, and techniques for addressing diverse learning needs.
To be an adult literacy volunteer, you don’t need to be a former teacher; we’ll provide the necessary training. What you mainly need are strong basic skills and a desire to help others.
