Presenter: Jan Baker Finch.After 8 years training and performing in Stuttgart, Germany, NZ born Jan Baker- Finch has been teaching Eurythmy to children, young people and adults for more than 30 years, 28 of those at Samford Valley Steiner School. She has run countless workshops worldwide aimed at enabling teachers to integrate healthy creative movement into their classroom activities. Jan is well known as a performer and has worked with many musicians and artists on a wide range of projects.
EURYTHMY IS AN EXPRESSIVE MOVEMENT ART DEVELOPED BY RUDOLF STEINER IN THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY AND USED IN STEINER SCHOOLS LIKE MILKWOOD. THIS PRACTICAL WORKSHOP SHARES A RICH EXPERIENCE OF EURYTHMY TO THE ADULTS OF OUR COMMUNITY, FACILITATED BY PACIFICA COLLEGE OF EURYTHMY’S JAN BAKER FINCH
WHILE SHE IS WORKING WITH ALL STUDENTS IN OUR SCHOOL IN A 2- WEEK EURYTHMY INTENSIVE. WHETHER THIS IS YOUR FIRST EXPERIENCE OF EURYTHMY OR AN ART FORM YOU HAVE WORKED WITH FOR MANY YEARS, THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND A WORKSHOP FACILITATED BY JAN IN DARWIN IS RARE AND NOT TO BE MISSED.
