Adult: Creating Pollinator Gardens in Small Spaces
Join us Wednesday, July 1st at 2:30 p.m. for the Adult Summer Reading Lecture Creating Pollinator Gardens in Small Spaces. This event will be in the Cornelia White Community Room at the Welwood Murray Memorial Library in downtown Palm Springs.
Jack Fitzsimmons is a lifelong gardener and self-confessed science geek. A childhood misadventure with a wasp’s nest led him to investigate what insects do other than cause pain. He is a graduate of the UCR’s Climate Steward Program and the Pollinator Steward Certification program through the Pollinator Partnership. This afternoon, he is representing The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, an international nonprofit that protects insects and other invertebrates, and their habitats, through science-based conservation, advocacy, and public education, focusing on pollinators.
