Curious about ballet? This welcoming, beginner-level class offers a gentle introduction to the fundamentals in a supportive and relaxed environment. You’ll learn basic positions, movements, and simple combinations, with an emphasis on enjoyment, expression, and building confidence. There’s also space to explore a bit of ballet history along the way, based on group interest. No prior experience needed.
What You’ll Gain

Please bring comfortable clothing suitable for movement. Ballet shoes if you have them, or socks work just fine
Meet Your Instructor
Heidi Maidl studied dance at Western Michigan University and went on to teach ballet for several years at Third Street Dance Company in Marquette, Michigan. Their experience includes training and performing with multiple studios and companies across Michigan, teaching in Girdwood, Alaska, and performing nationally with Troupe America in Babes in Toyland. They bring a love of ballet and a focus on creating an encouraging, joyful classroom environment.
