Learn to balance the elements in this Avatar: The Last Air bender inspired series.
In this 4 class series we will learn movements associated with each of the 4 elements; water, air, earth, and fire. Along with the movements, we will also learn meditation techniques and discuss how each element relates to your mental and emotional health, as well as how to use the movements and meditation for a more balanced mental state.
Water bending is based on Yang Style Tai Chi. With this practice we will learn to flow peacefully, find our calm, and let go of negative thoughts. Air bending is based on a martial arts style called Baguazhang. With this practice we will learn about mindfulness and focusing on the positives in life. Earth bending is based on a martial arts style called Hun Ga. The Earth element is about personal growth and we will focus on setting and achieving goals while maintaining a positive mindset. Fire bending is based on Northern Shaolin style Kung Fu. With this practice we will learn healthy ways to express anger or negative emotions.
At the end of the series we will have covered all 4 elements. Using movement and exercise as well as mediation techniques to find our calm, let go of negativity, focus on happiness, set and achieve goals, and learn to express negative emotions in a healthy way. Bring balance to the elements in order to bring balance into your life.
