* First ever North American tour - March/ April ‘26 *
About this Event
On-U Sound label boss and producer extraordinaire, Adrian Sherwood will be taking his most extensive tour to date on the road in Spring 2026, showcasing tracks from his new album, ‘The Collapse of Everything’. As well as playing to a host of European cities, this will be the first time Adrian has ever toured as a solo artist in North America.
This extensive series of live dub sessions starts next February 2026 in Milan and ends in Barcelona with his homecoming London show in between at the main theatre at the Barbican Centre. Excitingly, after this he will play a number of debut shows across North America in March to April, kicking off at Big Ears festival before dropping into major cities such as LA, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Montreal and more.
Adrian’s new ‘Live Dub’ show which will premiere at Magazzini Generali, Milan on the 5th of February sees him onstage with a full mixing desk and his signature studio effects creating live, realtime dub mixes directly from the original multitracks. It’s a complete On-U production presenting music from his new solo album, The Collapse of Everything as well as tracks from recent albums such as his collaborations with Lee “Scratch” Perry and Horace Andy, as well as recent work with Sonic Boom x Panda Bear and Spoon, and other On-U classics.
This hypnotic, cinematic live set will be accompanied by psychedelic visuals giving a pictorial history of On-U Sound as interpreted by longtime collaborator, Peter Harris. Peter has provided his unique brand of subversive artwork to the last two Lee “Scratch” Perry, African Headcharge and Creation Rebel On-U album covers as well as The Collapse Of Everything.
Sherwood’s first solo album in 13 years and only the fourth in his long career, The Collapse Of Everything was released in August to great acclaim. More reflective than earlier records in his discography, the album plays out like a Jamaican spaghetti Western with its widescreen vistas and mood shifts, incorporating everything from dust-caked desert blues to heaviest dubs decorated in seemingly infinite detail. An expansive palette from delicate piano motifs to heavily processed sound effects move in and out of a wide-panned stereo field, at times coalescing into an almost hallucinogenic state. Mojo called it “Sherwood’s most thrillingly exploratory solo album so far.”
Sherwood says: “I was basically trying to make a soundtrack encompassing all the things I like including good musicianship, dub techniques, and also good rhythms. I wanted to evolve this into a live show because, when I put out my first solo album Never Trust A Hippy (in 2003), that’s when I started doing DJ sets - prior to that I hadn’t really done any, because most of my adult life I was just mixing bands, putting events on, and being in the studio. That’s when my name went from the back of the sleeve to the front. It’s taken me a while to get used to the idea, but now I’m comfortable with being out front, even on the live stage, so I’ve tried to make something really sonically challenging, and take myself out of my comfort zone. It’s important to keep moving forward.”
