Sidney Bechet is the most revered saxophonist in New Orleans. Known for his powerful voice and moving musicality, he was a pioneer of jazz and inspired countless artists, including the Adrian Cox Trio.
"The Wonderful World Of Bechet" explores Bechet's impact on the world of music, through his contributions as a clarinetist, composer ( 'Si tu vois ma mère' ) and artist ( 'Summertime' ).
The Adrian Cox Trio is an established group that has toured extensively worldwide, focusing primarily on traditional New Orleans music. Comprised of a clarinet, a guitar, and a double bass, the trio brings this music into the 21st century with respect and accessibility.
