ADOS®-2 Clinical Training
About this Event
The (ADOS®-2) Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition is a semi-structured, standardized assessment instrument that includes a number of interactive activities designed to obtain information in the areas of communication, reciprocal social interactions, and restricted and repetitive behaviors associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
ADOS-2 administration and coding are highly standardized. Therefore, valid assessment requires training.
This training is for professionals working in Montana public schools who hold a qualification level C or above. This means a master's degree in psychology or a related field (speech language pathology, special education, etc.) or a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field and have additional training or certification in assessment.
Objectives:
- Describe the development, psychometric properties, and appropriate use of the ADOS-2.
- Demonstrate basic principles of ADOS-2 administration and scoring across Modules 1–4 through video demonstrations and guided observation.
- Explain how ADOS-2 results are interpreted and incorporated into eligibility determinations and educational planning.
