HSGD will have a booth with adoptable animals at the Oregon District’s Derby Days Event! Our booth will be located downtown Dayton on 5th street (Oregon District) from 1pm-4pm on Saturday, May 4th. We hope to see you there for a fun afternoon of food, drinks, Weiner dog races, and adoptable dogs!Please note that all adoptions will be conducted on a first come, first served basis at the event.

The Oregon District Business Association presents the 6th annual Derby Day in correlation with the Kentucky Derby, celebrating their 150th year!
Join us for this family friendly event in support of The Humane Society of Greater Dayton, with a special thanks to Tito”s Vodka for sponsoring the event!

2pm Race of the Wieners
3pm Star Wars costume contest (May the 4th Be With You). Hosted by Clash and Mikes Vintage Toys!
4pm Clash Dayton and Ravenbombshell Derby Fashion Show
6pm Hot Dog eating contest sponsored by Blind Dogs
Aside from the scheduled events you’ll have the opportunity to try Tito’s drink specials from all of our establishments, shop from our independently owned businesses and eat some of the best food in town!
