2. Administer medications safely.

What to Bring:

  • Blue or black ink pen
  • Pencil (with eraser) for test taking
  • Paper for notes
  • Water, lunch, and snacks

Breaks:

  • Five-minute breaks after each PowerPoint section
  • 30-minute lunch break

Amenities:

  • Staff kitchen with refrigerator and microwave available
  • Coffee/chocolate shop located in the building’s center entrance

Final Exam:

  • A written test is given during the final 90 minutes.
  • The exam is CLOSED BOOK. You cannot use classroom handouts or notes during the test.
  • Cell phones are not allowed during the exam. Please silence and place them in a central location until the test is complete.
  • Time warnings will be given at 15 and 5 minutes before the exam ends.
  • A passing score is 80% or higher.

Makeup Exam:If you don’t pass, you may retake the exam one week later. Register for the makeup test in Eventbrite.

Student Cancellations: Students can cancel their registration up to 24 hours before class. You must request a refund in Eventbrite before 9 a.m. on the Monday before class.

Late Arrivals: Students who arrive after 9:15 will be asked to reschedule for a subsequent class. The instructor cannot repeat class material for late arrivals, and students need all the information for the exam. We will consider applying tuition to a subsequent Med Training class on a case-by-case basis.

Bad Weather: If there is significant snow or ice in the forecast, we will contact you on the Monday before the class. (Be sure to supply your correct email and phone number when you register.) We will reschedule the class to a later date.

After the Class:

  • Passing students will receive documentation of course completion.
  • Exam results will be emailed to your employer’s Nurse Trainer and/or Manager within 24 hours.
  • Your Nurse Trainer will contact your team to schedule a required skills assessment.

Note: Medic*tion Certificates are not issued at this class. To obtain certification, contact the Nurse Trainer at your work site to schedule a Medic*tion pass. Trainers may revoke certification at any time.
