Admission $12 members, $15 non-members, UNDER 12 FreeInternationally touring, bluegrass and gospel group, The Kevin Prater Band hales from Belcher, Kentucky. Kevin Prater is now in his 42nd year traveling the USA and Canada. His many God given talents have taken him to 24 countries.
Kevin has shared the stage with many legends of bluegrass including Melvin Goins & Windy Mountain, Jerry Williamson & Red Wing, Mark Phillips & Third Generation, Timmy Cline Band, The Bluegrass Brothers and twelve years with The James King Band.
Kevin has been part of many award winning recorded projects including two "Album of the Year", a "Song of the Year", "Recorded Event of the Year" and was nominated as "Banjo Player of the Year" by SPBGMA.
Currently in his fifteenth year leading The Kevin Prater Band throughout the USA and Canada. Kevin could not be prouder to share the stage with the current members of The Kevin Prater Band. In addition to Kevin on mandolin, Jake Burrows of NC. plays banjo and dobro, Gary Isenhour of NC. on guitar. On fiddle, 17 year old Mallory Hindman and Alex Donahue fills the bass position, both of WV. All members contribute to the bands unique "Coal-Fired, Pure Kentucky Bluegrass" sound.
