For NIGHT AND DAY – ADI BRAUN SINGS THE COLE PORTER SONGBOOK, award-winning arranger and producer Don Breithaupt has created stunning orchestral arrangements for ten of Adi’s favourite Cole Porter songs.

Adi’s new recording, NIGHT AND DAY – ADI BRAUN SINGS THE COLE PORTER SONGBOOK, is her sixth recording – which follows her previously celebrated recordings, Moderne Frau—Modern Woman (2017), a tribute to the music of Weimar Cabaret, Canadian Scenes I (2010), Live at the Metropolitan Room (2007), The Rules of the Game (2006), and Delishous (2003).

“These arrangements recall the great Rosemary Clooney and Nelson Riddle collaborations, and I’m thrilled to be continuing this legacy,” says Braun. “Performing songs with orchestra from the Great American Songbook has long been a dream of mine and I have always loved the gorgeous music and brilliant lyrics of Cole Porter – as meaningful today as it was when they were written decades ago.”

Adi Braun has an extensive list of cabaret, concert, and theatre successes to her credit including performing at every major jazz and concert venue in Toronto, and touring throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe. In 2007, Braun was nominated as “Best Major Jazz Vocalist of the Year” by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC).

Adi is also the co-host of “Classical Mornings,” a popular daily program on The New Classical 96.3 FM in Toronto.

For this event Adi is joined by Don Breithaupt (piano), Pat Collins (bass), Mark Kelso (drums), William Sperandei (trumpet) and Justin Abedin (guitar)

Celebrated singer Adi Braun is an outstanding jazz, cabaret, concert and theatre

performer who has just recently returned from performing at the renowned Kurt Weill

Music Festival in Berlin (Dessau).  On this new record, Night and Day, Adi sings her

favourite Cole Porter songs with ten new arrangements by award-winning arranger and

producer Don Breithaupt. Nominated for “Best Major Jazz Vocalist of the Year” in 2007

by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs Adi has performed at every major

venue in Canada and has toured in the U.S. and Europe. This is her sixth album and

her first record on the Alma Records Label available in September 2023.
