"I have to agree that this program helps us parents to understand our children with ADHD more. Without these sessions, we parents will be stressing ourselves and our children out. Fighting fire every other day and forgetting about the core values that we should enforce in them, which will mold them and help them succeed in their lives through the obstacles and challenges."
~Parents' reviews~
Are you often overwhelmed by the frequent meltdowns, discipline issues, outbursts and calls from teachers that you receive too frequently regarding your child or teen?
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that presents in attention issues, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and distractibility, amongst other difficulties.
Whether or not your child has been diagnosed, the stresses you are facing is undeniable, and this workshop seeks to help you better understand how to approach parenting children with these issues calmly and strategically.
During this small group format online workshop, you will cover these topics:
Understanding the common ADHD symptoms
A Framework for Collaborative Communication with School
What Children with ADHD Need
Realigning Parental Expectations
Helping your ADHD Child Thrive
And walk away achieving these learning outcomes:
1. Feel more knowledgeable about your child's behaviours.
2. Feel that you can understand your child better.
3. Be able to communicate better with your child.
4. Feel that you are coping better with managing your child's ADHD symptoms.
5. Feel you are better able to apply your knowledge of ADHD to managing your child.
6. Feel more empowered to move ahead positively with your parenting journey.
7. Feel you are not alone in your struggles.
This workshop is suitable for parents/caregivers of children & teens facing any of these issues: attention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, anger management issues, executive function issues, etc. with or without an ADHD diagnosis. Co-morbidities like ASD and Dyslexia are also welcome.
