About this Event
ADHD in the Therapy Room is a practical and engaging 4 hour CPD workshop designed for counsellors, psychotherapists, and mental‑health professionals who want to work more confidently and effectively with ADHD clients.
Led by Brian Jones, Counsellor, Supervisor, and CPD Facilitator, this workshop draws on Brian’s specialist background in ADHD, extensive clinical experience supporting neurodivergent clients, and real life insight gained through supporting his son, who has ADHD. This combination of professional expertise and lived understanding brings depth, clarity, and authenticity to the training.
You’ll explore how ADHD traits show up in therapy, how they differ from neurotypical patterns, and how to adapt your approach in a way that is both neuroaffirming and clinically effective. The workshop covers practical strategies for emotional regulation, motivation, time blindness, and executive functioning, along with ways to create an ADHD friendly therapeutic space.
You’ll leave with grounded, usable tools you can apply immediately in your practice to better support ADHD clients.
Liverpool Quakers’ & customers will receive a 20% discount on parking at Q-Park Hanover Street by using the promocode QUAKERSLV when pre-booking through the website Q-Park
