Addressing Workforce Barriers in Healthcare & Life Sciences

The upcoming Strengthening Employers Feedback Forum (SEFC) will convene employers, community partners, service providers, and educational institutions from across Southwestern Ontario, including Elgin, Oxford, and Middlesex, to address workforce needs and opportunities in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector. Consistent with SEFC’s mission, the Forum will ensure employers have a strong voice in shaping talent pathways and contributing to national modernization efforts led by IRCC.

The session will feature an employer-focused discussion and a guest speaker from the London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC).

This Forum will provide an opportunity to examine hiring and retention challenges, alternative career opportunities, and sector-specific barriers, identify gaps in recruitment and employer supports, and consider regional workforce issues unique to Elgin, Oxford, and Middlesex. Employer insights will directly inform IRCC’s talent strategies.
