About this Event
If you’re interested in adaptive reuse of commercial office spaces, join Energy Trust of Oregon for a free in-person interactive workshop and luncheon during Sustainable Building Week. You’ll learn how Beaverton Year-Round Shelter, a transitional housing facility, was renovated from an office space to address the needs of the community’s most vulnerable residents—all while helping meet Oregon’s housing and climate action goals.
Attendees at this interactive workshop will have the opportunity to participate in two guided activities and learn how to:
- Utilize key questions to consider when developing an adaptive reuse project in an urban setting.
- Understand design strategies and early design tools available to project teams looking to repeat similar projects.
- Take on complex adaptive reuse challenges, armed with achievable case study strategies and a suite of early design tools.
Come hear the highlights of this successful case study, key lessons learned from the project and innovative strategies that support urban revitalization and sustainability in the Portland metro area and beyond.
We hope to see you there!
