Adaptive & Inclusive ReWild Your Child with Abby Dew at Waterton Canyon

Abby Dew For You LLC & Always Choose Adventures is so excited to kick off our year-round, adaptive and inclusive outdoor program!

Our first event will be a laid-back hike and scavenger hunt at Waterton Canyon. The path is very wide and open to allow for social distancing. We will enjoy a beautiful view and wildlife sightings while walking along the water.

Plan: Please meet us at the Waterton Canyon Parking Lot at 5:50PM. Look for Abby's blue BMW in the parking lot to check in and pick up your scavenger hunt packet.

Difficulty - Easy / Moderate

Total gain: 298 ft

Round trip length: The Full trail is 6.3 miles, we will not be doing the whole trail, most likely 2 to 4 miles total.

Kids Allowed: Absolutely!

Dogs Allowed: Sorry, leave your pup at home. No dogs are allowed on this trail.

Restrooms: Are at the trailhead and down the trail a few miles as well.

Suggested Gear:

Water (plenty of water) (2 liters)

Gatorade / Powerade / Electrolytes

Food (High carbs)

Dress in layers and either wear or carry:

Hat Warm Hat/Bennie and baseball cap

Gloves

Hiking Poles

Hand Warmers

Fleece or Wind-Block jacket

Waterproof shell/jacket

Hiking pants

Hiking boots

Sunglasses

30 spf sunscreen

Personal First Aid Kit (team leaders will each have first aid kits)
