ADAPTATSIA is a band formed in 1992 in Aktobe (city in Western Kazakhstan). The pioneers of Kazak punk rock. The band’s frontman and songwriter is Yermen Anti. For 27 years of their existence the band gave hundreds of shows in post-soviet space (Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus) and Western Europe (Germany, France, Finland, Spain, Switzerland), recorded and issued around twenty albums. For several generations of rock-music fans in Kazakhstan ADAPTATSIA is a synonym of a protest non-commercial rock. All those years the band maintained its indie status not cooperating with commercial labels and avoiding dealing with state institutions. ADAPTATSIA’s songs are the symbol of freedom. They sound in Russian language but every one of them is addressed to all people living on our planet. It’s the voice of another lost generation – uncompromising, sometimes hard and angry. That’s how conscience should sound inside a man.
in 2019 Yermen Anti dissolved the band and launched a solo career. In February 2022 he condemned Russian aggression against Ukraine and cancelled the concerts already announced in Russia. This performance in Berlin will be within the European reunion tour of ADAPTATSIA.
