Adanko Writers has started to spread knowledge of African mythology and writing across the UK and beyond. We hold writing workshops without limits, so you can explore your creativity without worrying about the boundaries of grammar and punctuation. So far, Adanko has held workshops throughout Exeter and hosted writers across the African diaspora.
Structure of the workshop:
The 2-hour workshop is hosted in Exeter Central Library. After the workshop is completed your child will have the opportunity to share their picture book with the wider Exeter literature scene by hiding them throughout the library and Bookbag bookshop.
You will need to register your child(ren) for the workshop via Eventbrite. The workshops are aimed at children aged 8-12 years old, especially those from global majority groups and low socioeconomic backgrounds.
