About ADAM Quartet
Formed in Amsterdam in 2020, the ADAM Quartet brings a fresh perspective and unique light to the string quartet, blending playing rooted in tradition with a contemporary spirit. The ensemble has performed at major venues and festivals across Europe and earned multiple accolades, including prizes at the Triomphe de l’Art competition and a grant from the Kersjes Fund.
The quartet is known for combining classical repertoire with contemporary works, collaborating with composers like Kika Sprangers and Camiel Jansen, and engaging in cross-style projects with artists such as pop singer Laufey and dance collective ISH. Their debut album, Exquisite Corpse, was released on Better Company Records last September. For their tour in Indonesia, the repertoire will feature pieces by renowned composers like Caroline Shaw, Maurice Ravel and Aleksandra Vrebalov, alongside a special arrangement of a surprise Indonesian song.
The ADAM Quartet (Indonesian tour) consists of:
Margot Kolodziej (violin)
Julia Kleinsmann (violin)
Francesca Wiersma (viola)
Renée Timmer (cello)
