FERRERA, Giuseppe “Joe” – Joe passed away peacefully at Trillium Villa with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Liberata “Lily” for 66 years. Dear father of Rosa Palleschi (Mario) and Rick Ferrera (Maria). Loving Nonno of Claudio Palleschi (Crystal), Joanna Palleschi (Bryan), Adam Ferrera (Hayley), Daniel Ferrera and Nicholas Ferrera. Nonno Joe to his great-grandchildren Madeline and Evan Palleschi, Leah and Mason Solinas and Jade Ferrera. Brother of Loreta Benacquista (late Bernardo), Vince Ferrera (Annie) and Vito Ferrera (Emilia). Predeceased by parents Leonardo & Assunta Ferrera and brother Antonio Ferrera (Maria). Joe served in the Italian military. He came to Sarnia in 1956 to join his wife Lily. Joe was a longtime member of Local 1089 Labourers Union. He operated the Four Company Car Wash, along with 3 partners, which later became the Point Edward Car Wash in the 1980’s when he became sole owner.
