The Metal Hawks story took its beginning when the band was formed very early on in grade school on Long Island, New York by bassist, Ryan DâAversa and guitarist, Johnny Barry.
The the bandâs line-up became complete when drummer, Griffin McCarthy came in and vocalist, Adam Ezegelain joined resulting in a new band moniker, ADAM AND THE METAL HAWKS (or as fans chant and post about them, AMH).
With the launch of their self titled debut album in April of 2020 (independently released), it didnt take long for their online videos and social media madness to draw the attention of fans worldwide. AMH is basically what happens when massive rock riffs share the spotlight with passionate melodies, and is injected with a lot of humour and hilarious antics.
Their social media duet with Jack Black and their rendition of âKickapooâ has already reached over 100 million views. The success of AMHâs online renditions of other artists hits have peaked the likes and recognition from Sharon Osbourne, Styx, Bret Michaels, Foreigner, Dee Snider, Slash, Ozzy, Guns Nâ Roses, Aerosmith, Twisted Sister and more.
During the âCovid lock downâ, the band wrote the material for their second release, âHurry Up And Waitâ, which has recently launched through Metal Department.
The band also recorded 3 Christmas singles, âRun Run Rudolphâ, âThe Grinchâ, and their original Christmas song, âLove is on my Wish Listâ. All 3 songs are on limited edition colored vinyl and can be found on the bands website: amhband.com
Now, in 2024, the band is busy touring and performing in theaters and festivals throughout Europe, Canada, and the United States!
