DALC warmly invites everyone interested to the guest lecture by Adalberto Müller : “Thinking With the Forest: Cosmopoetics in Brazil“. The lecture will take place on Wednesday 14 January at 11 AM in Room 104 (Faculty of Arts, Jan Palach Square 2, Prague). No registration needed, all welcome!
About the speaker: Adalberto Müller is a professor of literary theory at Universidade Federal Fluminense in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. In 2013, he was a visiting researcher at Yale University and a visiting professor at Université de Lyon2/France (film studies). He has published books and articles on film and media studies, translation theory, and literary theory, and translated the complete poems of Emily Dickinson into Portuguese. He is currently researching the cosmologies of the South American Tupí-Guaraní peoples and their “poetry” or verbal arts.
