You’re invited to celebrate the 36th anniversary of the Americans Disability Act (ADA) at City Hall on Monday, July 27 from 4 to 6 p.m.! 🎉
Salt Lake City, the Accessibility and Disability Commission, and the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) are hosting a free community celebration of this foundational civil rights law that ensures equal access and opportunity for people with disabilities.
• Hear from Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall and UTA’s Chief People Officer Anne Green-Barton.
• See who receives the ADA Champion Award, Going the Extra Mile Award, and other community recognitions.
• Sign the We Commit to Access community pledge banner.
• Chat with members of the Accessibility & Disability Commission and Committee on Accessible Transportation.
• Explore UTA accessibility vehicles, including paratransit and on-demand services.
• Experience adaptive technology demonstrations.
• Visit community resource and information booths.
• Meet the animals from SLC Police and UTA K-9 Units.
• Enjoy face painting, photo opportunities, and family-friendly activities.
• Complimentary refreshments and light snacks provided.
📍All festivities will be located on the East side of City Hall (451 S. State Street)
🅿️ Free parking on 200 East and at the Main Library
Attendees are also encouraged to use UTA TRAX, FrontRunner, bus service, and paratransit to travel to the event.
