ACV Tradition Launch Party with The Mighty Ruler Sound System

For our second issue of ACV we’ve crossed the UK and beyond exploring TRADITION, everything from pickles to flags, foraging to folk, marriage to masquerade. We’ve been on a journey through land, craft and queer resistance; traversing Black Britain and touching on the mythology of Babylon; Albion. But we’re not done yet, we’ve got one last stop. The DANCE.

The Mighty Ruler crew will be delivering vibes live and direct on their renown 1960’s vintage sound system, rescued and restored in lockdown by some of Londons finest engineers. Breaking the rules, prestige and traditions of an institution like the Barbican Centre, this show will be some serious business with three of London's most experienced selectors and two lively MC’s. You don’t want to miss it.

The stage for this historic dance will be RESOLVE Collectives large-scale installation , during their take over of the Barbicans Curve Gallery. An inter-disciplinary design studio with its roots in South London and extended across the UK, RESOLVE Collective use their commissions to platform local organisations and spark social change. ACV share love and gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate TRADITION amongst a programme full of radical imagination.

There will be plenty of other surprises on the night including, merch stools, copies of the publication and tease excerpts from inside.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to The Mighty Ruler crew for supplying us with entertainment on their renown setup.
