Eau Claire Acupuncture is honored to partner with Laura Ericson Group Trips to support menstrual equity for girls in Kenya. Over 1 in 10 girls in Malawi misses school during menstruation. In Kenya, the statistics are equally brutal. When girls miss school repeatedly, they fall behind. When they fall behind, they drop out. When they drop out, the cycle of poverty continues.
But here's what happens when girls have access to period products:
They stay in school
They gain confidence
They pursue education and careers
They break generational cycles of poverty
It's not rocket science. It's basic human dignity.
Our clinic’s mission is rooted in women’s reproductive health, and acupuncture has long been a powerful therapy for painful periods, hormonal imbalance, and emotional well-being.
This makes our partnership with the Kenya Period Poverty Project deeply meaningful. Supporting girls’ menstrual needs aligns directly with our clinic’s purpose: ensuring that no girl or woman is held back by her period.
Through this collaboration, every stress-reduction acupuncture session purchased sponsors a reusable NORA period kit that will be hand-delivered by Laura’s mission-driven group traveling to Kenya in March 2026. Together, we’re combining healing at home with impact abroad — giving girls the resources they need to stay in school and pursue the futures they deserve.
