ACTORS' GYM (Weekly workshops)

We realized that Barcelona lacked a dedicated space for this purpose, so we decided to create one ourselves! By actors, for actors.

Our aim is to provide an ongoing space at Bigoli Studios where experienced actors can train, much like going to a gym, but with the added benefits of working collaboratively, fostering curiosity, and ensuring an environment of support and psychological safety.

Based on the feedback from our initial poll, we’ve designed a series of sessions, each week focusing on a different topic. Rather than teaching technique, we’ll explore various concepts together, strengthening our existing skills and discovering new ones as actors.

Working with scene partners: to develop chemistry, rapport, and timing. Practice active listening, responding truthfully to impulses, and building trust and connection with fellow actors.

Impulse Work: Practice responding instinctively to impulses and stimuli without overthinking. Engage in exercises that encourage spontaneous reactions, improvisation, and exploration of the unknown.

Improvisation: Engage in improvisational exercises to enhance spontaneity, creativity, and quick thinking. This could involve improvised scenes, character interactions, or storytelling games.

We have a fantastic roster of workshop facilitators with many years of professional experience, leading dynamic, focused sessions & exersises where you'll always have quality scene partners to play with!
