2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the formation of the AIDS Support Network – the first grassroots organisation in Aotearoa set up to educate communities and support those affected by HIV and AIDS in New Zealand. 2024 also marks the 40th anniversary of the first person to die from AIDS-related complications in this country.
Join the team from PrideNZ for a special 1-hour audio-visual presentation paying tribute to some of the inspirational groups and individuals who stood up and spoke out. We’ll highlight some extraordinary examples of activism, remembrance and renewal through audio, film and narration.
