Activism in Action - Decentralizing Under Operation Metro Surge

Operation Metro Surge int he winter of 2025-2026 saw an unprecedented level of conflict between federal immigration officers and residents of Minnesota. The speed and breadth of the tactics used by ICE presented a serious challenge to neighbors attempting to stop their abductions. In this presentation, a member of North Star Health Collective (a protest medic crew active during the surge) will share the organizational and process adaptations that their group made to support rapid responders during the surge. The presentation is approximately an hour, and also includes time for questions and answers.

North Star Health Collective is a community health collective focused on providing first aid and emergency care at protests, direct actions, and community events in the Twin Cities and across so-called Minnesota.
