Active4Mood + Mountain Biking + Forest School
About this Event
The Schools Mental Health Service, in collaboration with an independent Forest School provider, will provide sessions throughout the summer in ‘Off Road Mountain Bike Cycling’ and ‘Forest School Activities’ to promote mental wellbeing and connection with nature and each other. You’ll be learning new mountain biking skills, exploring the trails, and chilling in the woods with hammocks and a variety of nature crafts ?
These sessions are for all Young People aged 12-17. Parents and carers are welcome to join (but don't have to; Young People are welcome to come alone)
What:
The sessions will be split into 2 parts
Part 1: Mountain bike skills and trail riding through Stanmer Park, developing cycling skills to connect with the outdoors, nature and each other.
Part 2: Making our way to a designated forest school area in Stanmer Park for nature crafts /activities, hammocks and chill time to improve social wellness, whilst giving you access to SMHS team of mental health professionals and activity specialists.
Where:
Meeting at Falmer Sports Complex, Pavilion Rd, BN1 9LP ?
Ride into Stanmer and hit the trails ?♀️
Ice cream and loo stop at Stanmer Tea Rooms ?
Then head to the Gathering Glade in Stanmer for forest school/nature activities?
When:
Wednesday 19th August; 1 - 4:30 pm
And every Wednesday and Friday throughout August; 1 - 4.30 pm.

It's free! With bikes and helmets to borrow
